If you look up the name in the article, the father [REDACTED] comes up in court records for DV and OWI charges, all dropped. ‘Egged’ is a perfectly reasonable shorthand for ‘toxic man gets what's coming to him’
I'm not lamenting the man’s punishment; I'm concerned about the missing wife and child. And yes, I'm worried that we rely on potentially unholy or demonic entities to mete justice.

birds have been crazy out doing DNR work and I've seen vultures over the northwoods dive at a LIVING deer. my buddy is a big bird guy and he says that's unheard of

Your bird friend is right, vultures won't attack a living creature–at least not a healthy, full grown one. The tar interests me–I've found that on animal carcasses near my new construction. I believe that is of… malign origin.
what kills me is that we're so ready to call blame on unverifiable things like satan or w/e when we know the feds have had access to technology that could replicate all this perfectly
I think Occam's razor applies here it's more likely they have paranormal entities under control or on payroll to make people disappear
